right then! version 2!
so, number 1 here is the one i picked LAST time. for me, THIS time, its number 6. generally that's how these will go. my favorites will be the sixth (or last if i have more than six images.)
So, this time i tried to do some work on each of these. so far i'm really liking 6. its BIT cheesecaky, but its also more recognizable, being an amalagation of her Jim Lee costume and the Miss-Riddle version.
1) as mentioned, this is number 6 from the last Wip. no changes here, its the same image
2) this is an older version of number 3 from the last pic, with stronger shoulder pads, which i hate, and lighter colors.
3 - 4) these are are some variations that were mentioned, and i'd thought that i would try them out. i decided tho that the shoulder pad look really DOESNT work for her. its too enclosed. i like Huntress showing SOME skin, tho not to the degree that Black Canary Does.
5) this was the apparent winner from the last wip (well, not winner so much as the most liked, i guess), and whilst i DO like, i feel its missing something.
6) shorts! i felt it was missing shorts! so FAR i'm happy with this, but since Huntress is so fickle, it'll remain to be seen if this is final. i'll wait for more opinions on the matter!
anyway! same rules as before!
SO! a couple of notes before you critique!
1) since these are wips and i am posting them STRICTLY for the purpose of critique, i WILL hide any comment that is just 'nice job!' or 'that loooks great!'. no arguments, cus i'm posting these to GET critique, as opposed to my normal art.
2) i think the skin/body here is pretty much final, its just the costume that i'm looking for help with.
3) if you think you can't comment cus you don't know 3D, just treat them as if i drew them, and ignore the fact that their 3D. if something can't be done cus its 3D, well, thats MY problem, not yours.
4) feel free to be as vicious as you need to be! i'd rather have brutal honesty then kind lies!
oh yeah, PLEASE don't submit this to groups! its a WIP!

Number Three is practical & symmetrical for the white lines since they are smaller and less 'bold' and doesn't make her an easy target for anybody to use as a reference point...
Tho ; again; Number Five is by far the sexiest version...
It is slightly too much like what the latest and newest Supergirl is wearing in exposing her mid-riff..

Just my two-bits...
ANYWAY, the boots on six are f*cking perfect. KEEP THOSE! That long length looks great and works extremely well with the shorts. Their shape is awesome because they don't cut off at an joint.
BUT she needs a cape! For me, it's such a must for Huntress. It works on so many levels for her. On the sexier costume, it helps to lessen the hooker-ishness of it. While overall it adds to her persona as the dark avenger. To me, she's darker than Batman so long capes are super important. It also alludes to the religious robes that inspired her first costume.
i will try the closed stomach look later, and try to add a cape, but my major question was whether you think it would work to cover or bridge the two looks.
Hell, you could decide to do a closed and open rendition just as alternates for each other. The open could be summer-time in Gotham (where it's hot and muggy) and the closed could be winter in Gotham (where you freeze all your fun bits off).
and yeah, i'm pretty happy so far with number 6, so we'll see what others have to say, but this just might end up being her final. i will try the closed look tho, so don't worry ^_^
